Frequently asked questions

よくある質問

Is my data sent anywhere?
No. The form runs entirely inside your browser. Your answers are saved to this browser's local storage and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. If you clear your browser data, your answers are gone — export a file first if you want a copy.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no password and no email required. Open the form and start.
Can I stop and finish later?
Yes. Your progress is kept in the same browser on the same device. To continue on a different device, use Export to save a file and Import to load it on the other device.
How do I get a PDF?
Use the print button in the form and choose “Save as PDF” as the destination instead of a physical printer. The page is laid out for clean A4 printing.
Is this the official government application form?
No. This is a biodata sheet — a structured way to collect everything your accepting organisation needs from you. The official Certificate of Eligibility application is filed in Japan by that organisation, using the details you provide here.
Can I file the Certificate of Eligibility myself from Nepal?
No. The CoE application is filed inside Japan by your accepting organisation or their authorised representative. Your job is to give them complete, accurate and consistent information — which is what this portal is for.
Which name spelling should I use?
Always the spelling exactly as printed in your passport, including the order of family and given names. If other documents differ, tell your organisation early — a mismatch discovered late is a common cause of delay.
Why do some sections appear and disappear?
The form only shows what applies to you. Selecting “Married” reveals the spouse section; selecting a particular status of residence reveals the extra items that status requires. This keeps the sheet short and prevents irrelevant fields being filled by mistake.
Can my agency or school use this for many candidates?
Yes. Each candidate opens the form on their own device and sends you the exported file. Nothing needs to be installed and there is no per-candidate cost.
The form says a field is missing but I do not have that information yet.
Leave it and continue. The completion meter and the check button are there to show you what is outstanding — they do not stop you from saving or printing.

Still stuck on a field?

Your accepting organisation is the fastest answer for anything specific to your case — they know which bureau will review it.
